Organic Food vs Non Organic and Natural Foods

Organic

With food store chains popping up everywhere in the United States, the provision of appropriate food choices is now much more popular. Even though one may feel that the term "natural" and "organic" are interchangeable, you should know the distinction of the descriptions so you understand specifically what you are consuming the next time you go to the health food to pick up your next meal.

Natural and organic are not the same thing. In reality, "natural" just isn't a term that is regulated by the government nutritional departments but the term "organic" is heavily regulated. In the year 2000, the USDA established rules and regulations for companies wanting to sell products with the organic foods label on it. Real organically grown products don’t make use of junk like non-natural fertilizer, pesticide spray, genetic alterations, hormones, radiation or any type of antibiotics. Organic products are always natural in their original state without any changes whatsoever.

Natural is a word that is associated with the food sector that is not regulated through the government. Typically, the word organic is applied to foods that do not have preservative chemicals and have not been processed. Natural foods are generally grown using substances that are eco-friendly but no harsh chemicals.

Whenever a product complies with organic regulations and requirements, it may be labeled as being "USDA Organic." You cannot use this label if the product is not purely organic. Occasionally, as with fruits and vegetables in the produce section, the sign will say this. Additionally, there are many factors to take into consideration. First, "100% organic foods" must be 100% organic meaning the advertising cannot be a gimmick. Subsequently, "organic" means an item must be a minimum of 95% organic components. Also, items that are a minimum of 70% organic or higher are "made with natural ingredients."

Some people might think that just raw fruit and fruits and veggies can be organic, but other items may be chemical-free too. There are some cosmetic businesses that utilize only natural components. Also, organic grapes might be grown for organic alcoholic beverages. If you think about it, natural and organic farming may be the classic farming way that has been used since people started growing food.

Consume Organic Foods for a Healthy Life

Organic Food

It is important to start consuming organic food now. Vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy products do not have the unhealthy toxic compounds that are found in foods that are non-organic. Because of the large amounts of harmful substances found in the inorganic foods we eat, we all need to consume organic in a majority of our meals. Whenever you select conventional farm raised foods or processed foods over organic, you are increasing the level of harsh chemicals and raising your chances of getting various illnesses.

For instance, look at the differences between regular farm animals and those that are fed organically at farms. The animals grown the nonorganic way are given hormones, antibiotics, and other things that are not good and they are in very poor condition. The normal lifespan of a cow that is non-organically raised is much lower than a cow that is well-cared for and raised organically.

Cows in an organic environment are healthier without hormones and antibiotics. Simply graze in grassy pastures. They will produce milk that isn't tainted with chemicals, hormones or anything else that can cause health problems such as infections.

Organic Beef and VegetablesBy consuming organic produce, meats and dairy, you are saving your body from consuming toxins. Research has revealed that children who eat non-organic and natural foods have 'abnormal' amounts of toxic chemical compounds in their bodies. These toxins build-up in our systems and will cause a variety of diseases.

Growers, dairies, and processing plants designed to use the label "organic" must follow specific criteria specified by the state and federal government. Only those foods that are 100% natural may be designated as organic. When you purchase organic items you can tell that attention was given to ensure there aren’t any chemicals or other toxins in the foods.

Most commercial beef including pork as well as beef, unless organic, contain antibiotics, hormones and too much fat. This is the reason they should be avoided. The best components for your meals should be organic foods and no exceptions.

Of all the non-vegetarian foods that are easily available, it is critical to buy and consume organic chicken. Hen chickens are the most commonly farmed form of wildlife and therefore are given substances to ensure they grow faster and much bigger. Good organic and natural chicken is loaded with nutrients such as zinc and vitamin B12, minerals and more which are vital for your health.

A good idea to keep your body healthy is to consume no less than twelve servings of refreshing, organic fruit and veggies each week. By consuming certified organic products you will enjoy an energy boost unlike when you eat non-organic foods.

Reports done on all natural produce versus inorganic demonstrate that organic greens contain a higher level of vitamins and minerals in comparison to inorganic food. This means you won’t have to eat as much just to get the nutritional benefits you need on a daily basis.

For individuals that like a little dessert. You can eat cake made with whole wheat flour, natural and organic butter, and free-range eggs but don’t eat it all at once. Select organic with your ingredients such as sugar, flour, oatmeal, fruits, milk, eggs, and also butter or margarine.

Organic items typically cost more, though the costs of refusing to eat organic could be a whole lot more because you will have higher medical bills because of the risks of disease with low nutritional value foods.

Benefits of Organic Foods

Organic Food Benefits

Organic food eating has a lot of benefits that are not limited to just good health but also emotional and mental health well being too. Having an all-natural diet can do wonders for you personally on an emotional, physical and psychological level. It gives you a sense of being closer with nature. You’ll be happy to know you’re not hurting the earth in any respect related to the meal you eat. You'll be at ease with the attitude that nature will likely not poison you since you are not poisoning nature. Conventional foods have pesticides applied to them and this hurts the environment. The vegetables and fruits produced have toxic chemicals which are bad for your health.

Growing your own fruits and vegetables in your backyard will also help. You'll start to develop a respect for nature because you’re not going to be using pesticide sprays or inorganic fertilizers. You’ll be able to grow your own food using only natural, non-synthetic materials. So when it's finally time for pick you’ll realize just what nature has to offer you to maintain good health. Some doctors and psychologists even consider gardening as an action that is soothing for a person’s mind. Because of this, they recommend gardening as a hobby.

Produce grown from organic farms have high amounts of phytochemicals together with antioxidants which are higher than these found in classic grown products. They are also free of the toxins and chemical residues that are commonly on most produce shelves. Unrefined food has far more nutrients and vitamins and much less chemical toxins as well.

The advantages of organic food consumption are from using chemical free fertilizers. It is because chemicals in industrial fertilizers as well as commercially used pesticides inhibit plant’s ability to create phytochemicals and antioxidants. Artificial ingredients do not allow the absorption of minerals and vitamins to fight diseases. The toxic chemicals wind up in the soil and destroy microorganisms plus they nutrient production in vegetation.

  1. I try hard to eat organically grown food at all times but if I can't get quality organic produce I still stick to eating natural foods and stay away from the processed stuff. Even with the presence of the chemicals and pesticides I think they are a much lessor evil.
